The Northern Star newspaper was created to spark conversation and create a space for Northernness to be recognised, appreciated, and understood. Through research, interviews, and cultural analysis, it challenges stereotypes, media portrayals, and class perceptions, giving visibility to voices often overlooked. It explores my own regional identity and sense of belonging since moving to the South.
